  • First verse People’s petition, following this law.
  • Second verse People defending for the country policies, public benefit, or their own good may petition to the public opinion organization or responsible administration organization.
  • Third verse the petition may not contradict the constitution or interfere with trial
  • Fourth Verse People may not petition for something that should be filed charge for.
  • Fifth verse a Petition letter is require for a petition with the listed items on the left and a signature of petitioner and the person in charge.
    • Petitioner’s name, gender, age, origin, occupation, address; In the case of group petition, the group name, address, and person in charge
    • Facts on the petition, reason for petition, and desired outcome.
    • Organization receiving the petition
    • Republic of China Year, month, and date
  • Sixth Verse In a case of group petition, representatives of less than ten people may hand the petition letter over personally to the organization.
  • Seventh Verse Upon receiving a petition request, the organization may notice the petitioner in request for representatives of less than 10 people for questioning.
  • Eighth verse Organizations processing petition requests shall notify the petitioner of the result; if the organization is not in charge, the responsible organization shall be notified to issue a notice to the petitioner
  • Ninth verse Upon receiving petition, the receiving organization or the head of the petitioner’s organization shall not threat or discriminate the petitioner.
  • Tenth Verse Representative of local public opinion organization petition to public opinion organizations applies to the rules of this law.
  • Eleventh Verse On petition, the people shall not disobey the law, gather and threaten, jeopardize the law, or any of the unlawful doings; Offender shall be deprived of the petition and punished according to the law.
  • Twelfth Verse This law goes into effect upon announcement.
