Listening to the people
Meeting the demands of the people
Established in the year 1951, the Ping-Tung county council has reached its 55th year, also the 16th session; with the efforts of the predecessors as a model. Whether it’s serving people efficiently or balancing the government regulations, there’s a big improvement. At the same time the Interpellation to the government policies has come closer to the voices of the people’s expectations. The increase on the efficiency of the council is also very rapid. These are results of the efforts of our council and the predecessors. Ching-Doo had the pleasure to serve in the 15th session of this council, also to have the support of fellow council members to become the Vice president of the council. In the future I shall fulfill my duty with passion and help President Chou with the busy council affair and serve fellow councilman. Although the county of Ping-Tung has prioritized tour and technology as major developments; agriculture is still the main income for the county people. Perpetual and improving agriculture and fishing remains important for the county government, it is also the true voices of the people.

Meeting the demands of the people
The long shoreline is the source of Ping-Tung’s fishing industry; the harbor is home to the fishing boats. Therefore, the public utilities and construction of the harbor and deep sea fishing harbor’s expansion remains an important agricultural policy for the county government to take care of. A Department of Fishing Affairs is also a must to offer the county’s fishermen better service and for the better for the future of Ping-Tung County. Our county is not rich of income, so the county government has to use budget wisely. Budget should not be spent on “firework” activities, the care of the elderly and the young and weak, the unemployed, and culture perseverance should be top priority. A broader view is needed to lead Ping-Tung out of poverty and creating a brand new government for Ping-Tung. Public opinion is the root for all politics. The fifty members of our council were entrusted by the nine hundred thousand county residents to speak for which. Supervising the government is a bounden duty, Ching-Doo also asks his fellow worker to go beyond the parties and themselves to supervise the policies of the government and strive for the better of the Ping-Tung people.
